More cupcakes....

At the weekend I went to my monthly sewing class at Stannington. We made a fabric storage roll. I am cup cake mad at the moment so decided to add a few!
To top it off I bought some cupcake buttons on ebay. They arrived this morning so here goes....
How cute is the button?
The clear plastic material was easier to sew thorugh than I first thought, thanks to Kath who kindly donated it to me!

Out of action

I have found out today that I need an operation on my knee. It will be on 6th Im not a happy bunny!

The problem stems back to my motorbike accident 15 years ago...Ive been lucky really as I ve not had many problems since then, this all started last week as my leg kept locking. Im having the knee washed out and possibly some of the screws removed. Oh well...more time for crafting!

25th of May

A very good friend asked me to join in with the Shimelle project "Scrap your day" so for the next 12 months I will record the events of the 25th of the month. I have had a very quiet bank holiday at home...LOL. OH has gone fishing so it was me and the dogs. We had a nice walk out into the countryside....but I forgot the camera! So here the photos Ive taken so far today.....
The view out of my bedroom early this morning! You have to take the same photo each month so you can see the changes in the seasons....I also take a photo of the clock to show the time I wake up.....
BJ sunning himself very early this morning....
The dogs chillin' on the decking after breakfast...
Finished off a double page I started a while ago at craft den....
Started a new patchwork project...I cut up all my yellow and orange fabric to make a reversible quilt later in the this space!

What no dogs....

I cant post without adding a photo of the gang.... Today we are mainly sleeping!

I couldnt resist appliqueing another cup cake on.

Cupcake Mad!

I love cupcakes, so when my friend gave me a bundle of fabric with cupcakes on I knew I had to make something with them. It is an easy technique where you lay a 3 1/2 inch squares on top of each other, right sides together and sew all the way round the edge. Then you cut through one layer from corner to corner. Press open the triangles and you will get a larger square.

Then you repeat the process again with a larger square.

Finished block.

My finished quilt along

BJ...mum whats this??

My favourite blocks.....

Can you spot BJ?...

My quilt arrived back home this morning. I sent it away to be quilted by Rosemary at . I choose the spaced out design, I love spirals. I am really pleased with how the quilt has turned out. I appliqued BJ on the back from a picture that was taken by his breed mum. I started making the quilt a while ago when we had visited BJ to see if he got on with my gang so it seem appropriate to include him in the project. As you know he joined the gang this week, and all is going well.
