I love Jessie the cat.....

Last night's Craft Den scrapbooking class!
We added colour with ink and stamping on to Blonde Moments paper for the background. Then we used the Colour My World template "Stamped" to cut a lovely edge to the background paper. I then decorated the edge with Viva pearl pens and faux stitching. The black and pink ribbon was layered and ruffled with a few flowers and card candy to finish. I added a title with a Dovercraft Glitter Alphabet stickers. I cant not mention the Caramel Chocolate Brownies that Mary made for us, they were to die for. I must get the recipe from her, they were delicious!

Cardmaking class....

I took a few hours off work today to get my creative fix at the Craft Den . One of my New Year's resolutions was to have a go at card making. I needed some inspiration as I was a bit over whelmed with where to start, thanks Lynne! I thoroughly enjoyed the class. I shall certainly be making a few more of theses cards.
We used some lovely Bo Bunny papers which are double sided to make the 3-D centres and then added some card candy to finish them off. We got two cards made in the class, Im not sure which colour scheme I prefer? What do you think?

Back to Normal....

Now the snow as gone it is good to get back to normal! Thursday night was scrapbooking at the Craft Den Thanks Lynne it was a great class, we had a play around with the Pearl Pens on acetate to make our own bling at start of the class. What a great technique....with practise!

The lovely paper is from the GCD's Paris Nights Collection. We added some great Sizzix flourishes and then decorated with punched layered flowers. It was great to do something creative, being back at work full time is taking its toll!! The photo is of my Mum's Aunt, in the summer I met up with her to gather important memories from her about our family history so I promised I would scrap her photos first!

I also added some finishing touches to another page. Last year I traced my family tree so I am in the process of completing a scrapbook to show off the lovely old photos I have collected from different members of my family.

Christmas Journal....done!

Thank god it's finished...Im sorry to bore you with this now Chrismas as long been and gone. I did enjoy doing it but it as taken longer than I thought it would. If I do it again I would be more prepared before the Christmas season starts.
I used Bo Bunny chipboard pages for the structure of the book so the finished size is 6"x6". Ive decorated the metal rings with some great ribbom from the Craft Den

I promise this is the last few pages now.... these are my pictures from my snowed in day. The snow has played a big part in the Christmas of 2009!

I even decorated the back page of the book with some left over ideas!

Its a good feeling to have completed the journal...what project should I start next? I am inspired by all the lovely cards I see on your blogs. That was one of my New Year Resolutions to have a go at making some cards so watch this space....

Winter Wonderland

"Sleigh bells ring, are you listening, In the lane, snow is glistening. A beautiful sight! We're happy tonight. Walking in a winter wonderland!! As you can tell Im loving the snow!

What a shame I wasnt able to go into work today. I have been a busy bee! I scrapped a double page LO of Isabel in her bright pink bean bag chair. The title for the page was inspired by the lovely BO Bunny papers, one of the range was called Sweetie Pie! I also used my Blonde Moment stamps and some old chipboard flowers which I changed the colour of by inking and embossing them!

I've also managed to get some more of my Christmas Journal finished. I am meeting up with some Crafting friends at the weekend for a belated Christmas Lunch so I must get the Journal finished for then!

Just a few more pages left, I would like to include today's weather. I cant believe the snow has been around for so long! Both Lynne and Gez have posted some great winter photos on their blogs, thanks girls!

Happy New Year

I apologise for my long absence, what a Christmas for all the wrong reasons! My family and friends have had lots of illnesses and the dreaded sicknes bug which has been a nightmare. I am hoping they are all on the road to recovery and I have no more hospital visits...hospitals at Christmas are the worst!
Here's to a healthier 2010!
I am just catching up with my Christmas Journal so will post some of my favourite pages after the weekend but I have finished my 25th of the Month Book. Of course the 25th of December was Christmas Day so I have included all my family and friends. The weather was lovely on Christmas Day...Bright blue sky and everything covered in snow so we took the dogs for a walk through the woods which was lovely...cold but lovely!

The pages are decorated with paper from the Craft Den Its from the PaperArtsy collection Rum and Rasin. I just love the Father Christmas design. The cute embellishments are from the 99p store, I love a bargain or two! I have also included my Christmas Tree and the great presents I received.

We are having a quiet New Year at home but cant wait to get back to normal...looking forward to Thursday's class at the Craft Den, see you all there!
